U.S. First in Shark Attacks. Where Does Hawaii Stand?

Shark attacks are on the rise globally, and the United States had the most reported of any country, according to the University of Florida’s International Shark Attack File annual report, released Tuesday.
There were 79 attacks in 2010, the most since 2000. Six people were killed.
In the U.S., Florida led the way, with 13. North Carolina had five and California and Hawaii were tied for third with four attacks each.
