The First Family departed for Washington, D.C., Saturday night after a final vacation day that had the president and his daughters criss-crossing Oahu.
First President Barack Obama and daughter Malia started the day with a final trip to the Bellows Air Force Station Beach.
Later they were joined by the president’s other daughter, Sasha, for a drive to Honolulu, where they visited his grandfather’s grave at Punchbowl Cemetery, then visited the president’s half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, in Manoa.

After that they drove back to Kailua and met up with grunge star Eddie Vedder and his family. Later, they met friends for dinner at Buzz’s Lanikai in Kailua before heading for the airport for the flight home.
Air Force One took off from Hickam Air Force Base at 9:50 p.m.
