We’ve been producing journalism in the public interest for 10 years, with the aim of making Hawaii a better place, and we have no plans to stop any time soon. But we need your help to keep this critical work going strong. For a limited time, donations to Civil Beat will be doubled, thanks to a matching gift from the NewsMatch program!
Civil Beat has raised $76,000 towards our $200,000 goal!
Civil Beat wants you to come inside our newsroom — virtually, at least — via a new weekly Facebook Live stream with our engagement editor, Anthony Quintano and audience development editor, Landess Kearns.
Friday was our first session and we plan to have a live video chat every Friday at 2 p.m. on our Facebook page to talk about all things Civil Beat.
Civil Beat's Office Hours on Facebook Live
The idea is to answer questions about Civil Beat’s work and bring our readers up-to-date on our events.
We will take user questions each week and then answer them the following week. This will give our team a chance to personally respond to a readers’ questions.
We also plan to have our reporters and editors chat directly with you during our streams.
Share your questions to our team in the comments of the Office Hours livestream each week. If you do not have Facebook, you can email your questions to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “Office Hours.”
