I really question their relationship and if it isn't something more than truly professional. If this is such a vital position that it had to be created in great haste behind closed doors, why wouldn't you want to ensure you got the best through a competitive recruitment? This is corruption and it's a lousy way to start a new tenure.

Spot on Will ! Mahalo.Alternately, if new untested hires can force demands like that, you might now ask CB for a colorist¹ (at equal pay !) to assist you with your already-proven excellent work.¹eg. the Jason Lee character in the movie "Chasing Amy"

It's obvious why Hensel would want Siegenthaler with her in Hawaii. Despite whatever skills Siegenthaler has, the fact that the Board hides the process and refuses to explain says everything the public needs to know about their own sense of wrongdoing.Hensel makes a grave mistake to stonewall the issue. If she and the Board look corrupt at the outset of her tenure, who will trust her going forward?
