Huh?

"Green taxes fund environmental restoration efforts and adaptation support"Is this sufficiently broad, unspecific and fuzzy enough to sound politically uplifting, but leave the door wide open to use the money for just about anything? Are we even allowed to doubt our Governor, considering he is in the company with the Pope of the Catholic church, President of Suriname and actor Samuel L. Jackson?"I will aggressively support the buildout of local renewable energy like rooftop solar"The monopoly utility has thwarted rooftop solar for years because it exposed the fact that the utility didn't invest in grid infrastructure and instead skimmed profits into shareholder pockets. Green then bails the utility out to keep the shareholders happy."Climate policy issues are very complex, approaching problems with a pragmatic perspective will balance potentially competing priorities and safeguard the future. This is easier said than done"It's not too complex that Hawaii is totally dependent on tourism and the military 2 of the highest carbon burners, so will this $100 million and JERA actually, sort of, make Hawaii carbon neutral?
