On the BIG Island for 3 decades I've always felt we got short shrift re state news. Good to see CB filling that niche so well. Articles by Lee Cataluna have been especially informative and pointed. "Where is the money to come from?" Well, to start with, how about cutting down the UH "athletics" budget???  We are one of the majority of states where the highest-paid public employees are "coaches"... Here, paid from high-$200K to over $700K@!  Unbelievable! Total budget, over $35 MILLION/year! Next, I read for stadium rebuilding - @ $350 million - has already been appropriated!?!  Is it time for some INTELLIGENCE to appear on the scene???

Mr. Pritchatt's cartoon illustrated the cold day in hell for procrastinating Ige and all the taxpayers in Hawaii who will suffer the consequences of his indecision.
