Should of drew a cake, they could have their cake and eat it too. Our council members, many who have second full time jobs are going to make how much? And rail costs how much? And what are we paying for property taxes?

Political diabetes. It's cute until extremities start getting amputated.

Any proposed raises should only take effect for the NEXT ELECTED TERM of any sitting official. If the raise is approved during 2023 and the official is already in office, the raise would not apply. It would only apply to NEWLY ELECTED OFFICIALS. The sitting official would have to be re-elected for the raise to apply. This way they can't raise their salary every time they get elected since the new raise would only apply if they get re-elected.
