Mayor Bissen and Chief Pelletier should explain why Front Street was blocked by police preventing fleeing residents from leaving Lahaina. The north end of the street was blocked creating an extreme danger for those trying to flee, there were no poles or wires on the ground to create a hazard at the time, the path was clear.Some drove around the officer to save themselves and their families. Others were stuck behind lines of trapped vehicles. Lord only knows what happened after.
