Don't know how I feel about the cartoon. What I know is Kahikina came out of the Caldwell administration and to see Blangiardi getting her back makes me wonder how the three are all connected. Kahikina knows how to play the press. Hanabusa may have walked into it. Really who cares? The money is the issue here. It'll never be right, call it quits and use the money to help people with their housing and other lip service issues.

Why are these professionals letting their "feelings" get in the way of them working together? Moreover, how/why is Blangiardi expected to moderate feelings and sentiment when both are subjective to the perception of each individual involved?

CEO Lori Kahikina is a seasoned profession took the job to turn around the HART fiasco. Chair Hanabusa is a well tooled politician and tough no-holds bar labor attorney. Both are warriors and gladiators who have been in the battle arena. To have just 1 emerge victorious is not desirable. The Rail is Hawaii's biggest and most challenging construction project. Both Kahikina and Hanabusa are needed to bring home the bacon.Mayor Blangiardi leadership skills of forging alliances and building team work are being tested to the max. By Kahikina and Hanabusa choosing to launder and air their differences in the media and plain view, they have and continue to stoke a raging bonfire that is now out of control.Mayor Blangiardi has the daunting task of being a diplomat, firefighter and peace maker. We wish him well and success in getting HART on track and finishing the task at hand.
