The cartoon depicts a confident, in-control Case riding a pay-to-play political vehicle of war.The expensive and toxic jet fuel propelling Case is bought with the endless amount of Pentagon monies patriotically given to the Industrial Military profiteers, and to show their appreciation, the highly profitable arms industry budgets a lil' money to finance the very politicians that awarded such large sums to them in the first place.A well oiled self-serving recycling system. To maintain altitude and attention for a political career, politicians must engage in ephemeral emotional issues of the day. Even if these issues appear to run counter to the mandate of the Security State to secure borders with a vetting system to ensure sovereign security.Case protesting ICE seems to be contradicting his allegiance to the military security state, but rejecting ICE is necessary to maintain levitation till the next election? I always enjoy Will's astute explanations of his cartoons, and since my interpretation is abbreviated and off-the-cuff, I would appreciate Will explaining his thought provoking illustration.

Ed Case has just picked sides again -- and he's picked the wrong side -- again. Trump has an unfailing track record of backing down just enough from outrageous overreaches to get appeasement from Democrats like Ed Case. Trump's team will agree to some unenforceable concessions or to accept court orders. But even before the ink has dried, they proceed to ignore those restraints. This is why the real opposition has repeatedly warned that the government; legislature, courts, and certainly executive will not save us from dictatorship -- that ship sailed in 2024. So, it falls to WE THE PEOPLE, as it has since 1776, to fight for our liberty.
