It’s my least favorite day of the year, but my younger CB colleagues love it.
To mark Halloween, then, here’s another little item from WalletHub, the personal finance website: Honolulu is No. 18 when it comes to “best cities” for Oct. 31.
The criteria include candy sales and costume spending.

Santa Ana, Calif., is No. 1 while Birmingham, Alabama, is No. 100.
Honolulu ranks No. 1, however, for having the most candy and chocolate stores per capita.
But we are also No. 96 for the lowest percentage of people aged 14 and under. That’s no doubt due to good longevity rates.
Here’s another fun little nugget nationally: 72 percent of parents say they steal Halloween candy from their kids.
