Earlier this month we reported that Keith Hiraoka stepped down as chair of David Ige’s political campaign after learning his name is on a list of nominees for a vacancy on Hawaii’s Intermediate Court of Appeals.
Hiraoka has also made the short list for two other judicial vacancies: for the one created by the retirement of former Circuit Judge Karen Ahn, and to replace retired Judge Steven Alm in First Circuit Court.

Hiroka is an attorney and managing partner at Roeca Luria Hiraoka.
Attorneys Todd Eddins and Jeffrey Hawk and District Court Judge Paul Wong also made both lists.
The nominees come from the Judicial Selection Commission.
The governor has until Feb. 11 to make his selections and to submit them to the state Senate for confirmation.
