Hawaii imports more than 80% of what we eat. That keeps the cost of living high, our options limited and creates problems for our already-fragile environment. The pandemic and subsequent years exposed critical issues that arise when we can’t feed our own population in times of great need. How can we get on a better path to growing our own?
