The late contributions report for Neil Abercrombie shows him picking up a last-minute spurt of cash — $182,170 in the past 10 days — from professors, lawyers, Realtors, developers, engineers, architects, construction companies, housewives and retired folks.
Abercrombie’s opponent, Mufi Hannemann, did not file a late report.
Abercrombie’s late contributors include donors who have already given to his campaign, like construction company president Ralph Inouye ($1,000) and engineers and architects that work for Mitsunaga & Associates.
Names that caught our eye in the new filing include the following:
Architects Stanford Lee, owner of NextDesign ($4,000)
Attorneys Brook Hart ($1,000), Earl Anzai ($1,000)
Banks Central Pacific Bank PAC-STATE ($1,900)
Cruise Ships Holland America Line ($3,000)
Housewives Zina Geyser of Encinitas, Calif. ($6,000)
Arizona Developers Jeffrey Geyser, Lawrence & Geyser Development ($6,000)
People Who Work For Beer Companies Timothy Scully, Miller Brewing fgovernment affairs ($1,000)
People Who Work For Dialysis Companies Ryan Pardo, general counsel for Liberty Dialysis in North Bend, Wash. ($5,000); and Eric Shuey, Liberty Dialysis CFO in Sammamish, Wash. ($5,000).
Realtors Named Ratner James Ratner ($2,100) and Ronald Ratner ($4,200) of Shaker Heights, Ohio; and Deborah Salzberg Ratner of Bethesda, Md. The Ratners are executives of Forest City Enterprises, which has housing projects on Oahu military bases — projects Abercrombie helped secure while in Congress.
