James MacArthur, best known as “Danno” on the original Hawaii Five-O, was honored Sunday by his Hawaii ohana. The actor died in October at the age of 72, but he had friends and family in so many places that Sunday’s memorial service at the Hawaii Theatre was the last of three. The other two were held in his hometown of Nyack, N.Y. and in Palm Desert, Calif. MacArthur’s wife, H.B. said: “People came from the mainland, and there’s many, many friends of Jim’s and mine here in Hawaii, and then so many fans showed up today.” At the theatre, seat J8, which MacArthur sponsored, was decorated with flower and maile lei and his picture.
