While Hawaii residents wait to see whether the islands will be hit with debris from the Japanese tsunami, it’s already been sited in Washington state. 

A flotsam the size of a 55-gallon drum was found by scientists on the northwest tip of the island a couple of weeks ago. And more is expected, including fishing boats, houses and possibly body parts.
