He’s been on island barely an hour, but Pres. Barack Obama’s already enjoying an evening out on the town — at Morimoto restaurant.

The president stayed at his vacation rental for less than a half hour before the motorcade was off again, this time to the Modern hotel in Waikiki.

Now, the White House press pool reports that it didn’t get to see Obama enter the restaurant because “our bus broke down several times on the way and we lost the motorcade.”

But the president was indeed spotted there, eating with family and friends.
