We here at Inside Honolulu are always trying to show you how the political sausage is made. But a new video has a different kind of “Dirty Jobs” thing going on.

District 1 Honolulu City Council member Tom Berg has just blasted out a campaign newsletter with a video showing him and supporters screening their own Berg For Council T-shirts to show that he won’t waste contributions. (Note: Berg pulled in $0 in donations during Calendar Year 2011.)

Berg himself makes a cameo appearance, and the star of the video points out that working without air conditioning makes the Berg campaign a true grassroots movement.

The newsletter and video come on the heels of a new round of attacks from former chief of staff Eric Ryan, who’s trying to impeach Berg. Ryan claims, among other allegations, that “Team Berg” polo shirts paid for by taxpayers as part of his Council allowance are actually to be used for campaigning this year.
