Popular Hawaiian singer Cecilio Rodriguez was sentenced Friday to a year in jail after pleading no contest to sexually molesting two young sisters in the 1990s. The Los Angeles Times reports:
Rodriguez, 67, of the singing group Cecilio and Kapono entered the plea to charges of molesting the first victim between 1996 and 1998 and her sister between 1997 and 1999, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Adrian Roxas.
Rodriguez also received a six-year suspended state prison sentence. He molested the two girls, who were between 7 and 9 years old at the time, in Carson while they were touring.
