New House Clerk, And Har Gets Married
CJ Leong was sworn in as the House’s chief clerk, for which she received a standing ovation. She replaces Pat Mau-Shimizu. Majority Leader Pono Chong and Minority Leader Gene Ward both heap praise on Leong, who is praised for her ability to listen.
On another matter, Rep. Sharon Har has told everyone that she has recently got married. She introduced her “dashingly husband” and her in-laws, who by chance are sitting right in front of me in the House gallery. I can vouch that Har’s husband is indeed dashingly handsome.
