The second installment of the highly popular Hunger Games movie trilogy will be filmed on Kauai.
The Examiner.com reports:
It certainly is no Panem, but Kauai, Hawaii, does fit the bill for the final scenes in the original novel and second installment of the “The Hunger Games” trilogy by Suzanne Collins.
Scouts searching for possible locations to shoot the end of the 75th Annual Hunger Games, the Third Quarter Quell, have reportedly found the right spot just this week. With its lush greenery and island colors and wildlife, the Kauai may be perfect for the beautiful but dangerous jungle setting for the cast to film the clocking “Catching Fire” climax.
