Shark Attacks Snorkeler in Kihei

Maui County officials have closed the beach from Kamaole III to Waipualani Park after a snorkeler was attacked by a shark, size and type unknown, this morning.

The 61-year-old man suffered multiple cuts to his lower left leg and thigh.

The area is expected to remain closed until sunset then reevaluated tomorrow morning.
