Diagnostic Laboratory Services Inc. says marijuana use in the workplace rose slightly during the fourth quarter of 2012.
Pacific Business News reports:
“Marijuana continues to be the drug of choice and crept up slightly to 2.6 percent for the fourth quarter from 2.5 percent in the third quarter 2012 and down to 2.8 percent for 2012 from 3.1 percent in 2011,”Carl Linden, scientific director of toxicology at Diagnostic Laboratory Services, said in a statement. While meth use was flat for the year at 0.7 percent, Linden said the trend in 2012 showed meth use increasing slowly each month, with usage in the fourth quarter rising to 0.9 percent from 0.8 percent in the third quarter.
Meantime, a recent poll shows that more than half of Hawaii voters want the state to make recreational marijuana legal for adults and reform other pot laws, too.
