Whale Surprises Canoe Off Maui

These paddlers got quite the surprise when an adolescent whale breached and clipped their canoe off Maui.

We’ve written about the large number of humpbacks in the water lately — and NOAA sending out a warning about them. Maui seems to be particularly prone to whale-vessel collisions.
