The Hawaii Democratic Party just announced that Oahu chapter chair Tony Gill resigned at 4 p.m. today.

Does this mean the labor attorney is planning to run for office?

The two hot races are for governor and U.S. Senate, and Gill did take a shot at filling in for the late Sen. Dan Inouye.

Vice Chair Francis Choe will become the interim chair until the convention on May 11.

Here’s the Facebook announcement.
