A man was bitten Tuesday off the Kona Coast of the Big Island by a shark.
According to initial reports, the man was bitten in waters off the Mahai’ula section of Kekaha Kai State Beach Park.
A 14 foot tiger shark was spotted in the area.
The park is just north of Keahole Airport.
The condition of the man and where he was bitten is still unknown.
Officials from Department of Land and Natural Resources and the Hawaii County Fire Department responded to the incident.
