The Hill has this item on how President Barack Obama says he sees a resemblance between himself and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Excerpt:
“I have a little more hair,” Obama told the audience at Sunday’s taping of the annual “Christmas in Washington” concert.
Johnson, who hosted the holiday show that premieres Friday on TNT, portrayed Obama in a 2009 “Saturday Night Live” sketch. The former WWE star was dubbed “The Rock Obama” in the comedy bit.
“Dwayne is tough as nails on the outside,” Obama told the crowd at downtown D.C.’s National Building Museum, but “he is a big softie on the inside.”
Citing the “SNL” skit and comparing himself to the brawny entertainer, Obama quipped to laughter, “You can see the resemblance. …”

Obama and The Rock each have Hawaii ties. The president was born in Honolulu and graduated from high school here, of course, while Johnson attended public school for a spell.
Johnson himself has noted the “similarity” between him and the prez, as reported by Hawaii News Now a couple of years ago:
Johnson laughs and says, “Here’s the funny thing, by the way. You take President Obama, Bruno Mars, and myself, and we all … he looks like he could be my uncle, Obama. I look like I could be Bruno Mars’ big brother. That’s the way it is here in Hawaii!”
