Frustrated at the ballot box last November by electing only a few of its members to office, the Hawaii Republican Party appears to be investing in a little brand development.
The local GOP has a new logo, which was introduced to guests at the annual Lincoln Dinner last Thursday.
“We are emerging as an agile, modern political party ready for the battles of 2016 and beyond,” Party Chairwoman Pat Saiki said. “This logo provides an exciting new symbol for our members to rally behind as we continue to provide the people of Hawaii an alternative to the status quo.”
We produce both the new (below) and old logo (at bottom).
U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona, by the way, delivered the dinner’s keynote address
A member of the Foreign Relations Committee — he serves on the Subcommittee on East Asian and Pacific Affairs — the Energy and Natural Resources Committee and the Judiciary Committee, Flake is also know for testing his survival skills with Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) on the tiny island of Eru, part of the Marshall Islands.
