Hawaii Gov. David Ige will participate in a town hall Thursday with residents of Aiea and Pearl City.

It’s set for 7-8:30 p.m. at Pearl Ridge Elementary School Cafeteria.

The town hall is sponsored by state Sens. Breene Harimoto, Clarence Nishihara and Donna Mercado Kim; state Reps. Aaron Ling Johanson, Sam Satoru Kong, Gregg Takayama and Roy Takumi; and Honolulu City Council members Carol Fukunaga and Brandon Elefante.

A press advisory explains, “Throughout the year, Aiea and Pearl City area legislators jointly host several town hall meetings to provide the public an opportunity to engage with local government officials to discuss issues impacting the state and their community. Discussions cover a variety of topics including transportation, the state budget, and other issues important to the public.”

Olelo will be taping the event live for rebroadcast at a later date.

Ige, by the way, is from Pearl City.
