House Speaker Joe Souki held a campaign fundraiser Monday night at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Waikiki.
The suggested contribution was a tidy $1,000.
I wonder if Alexander & Baldwin was in attendance.

As you may know, A&B is on the cusp of having the Hawaii Legislature pass legislation that allows the agricultural business to keep diverting water from East Maui streams even as the matter is in the courts and before a state agency.
As my partner in crime Nick Grube reported, A&B has doled out $600,000 to local pols over the past decade.
Souki tops the list of House lawmakers getting A&B cash.
Probably just a coincidence.
