With just days to go before the June 7 filing deadline, Duke Aiona is apparently considering three very different contests.
He has pulled papers for Hawaii’s 1st Congressional District, Honolulu mayor and state Senate District 20.
District 20 represents Kapolei, Makakilo and parts of Ewa.
It is currently occupied by Democrat Mike Gabbard, who has filed for re-election.

Aiona is a former Republican lieutenant governor who later ran twice unsuccessfully for governor.
CD1 and the state Senate are partisan races. Honolulu mayor is nonpartisan.
No word yet on what former GOP congressman Charles Djou might do.
