Civil Beat is devoting a little air time to the views of some of the lesser-known candidates for Honolulu mayor this election season, beginning with Ron Hochuli, a retired senior vice president of Merrill Lynch who says he’s running because he was “frustrated with the way the city was going.”

Hochuli told Pod Squad host Chad Blair that this may be the year that voters find a lack of political experience to be just what they’re looking for.
