When she criticized the religions of her political opponents, Angela Aulani Kaaihue proved she doesn’t understand — or doesn’t care about — what it takes to win an election in Hawaii, former UH history professor Dan Boylan told host Chad Blair in the latest installment of the Pod Squad.
“Nobody’s going to get elected on the basis of one ethnic group,” said Boylan, who goes on to talk about the various strategies that are employed successfully to craft electoral majorities in a melting pot state where no ethnic group is the majority.
