Hawaii is down to six Republicans in the 51-member state House of Representatives and no Republicans in the 25-member Senate.

But Pod Squad host Chad Blair hasn’t forgotten about the minority party. In fact, he and producer April Estrellon took their show on the road to the basement of the Capitol to interview House Minority Leader Beth Fukumoto.

She talked about Republican priorities for this legislative session and her evolving strategy for working with Democratic House leaders to make sure the minority party’s concerns are considered.
