Two nonpartisan candidates are standing for the Maui County Council district of Makawao-Haʻikū-Pāʻia, including the incumbent. The district takes in the largest town in Upcountry Maui and the island’s vibrant North Shore.
Both candidates filled out a survey from Civil Beat, outlining their views on food sustainability, Maui’s water supply and answered a question from a constituent.
