Lanakila Mangauil was born and raised in Honokaa and graduated from Kanu O Ka ʻĀina NCPCS. He has been an educator with the state Department of Education’s ʻIke Hawaiʻi Program for over a decade.  A cultural protector and cultivator, a Kumu Hula and community leader, Mangauil activates the community through cultural and environmental education.
