Thomas S. Dye is a retired archaeological consultant who grew up in a home overlooking the Kailua burial ground. He performed six years of public service with the State Historic Preservation Division in the 1990s, when he worked productively with the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Planning and Permitting.
