Civil Beat will host a forum Friday for the four House candidates vying to represent Districts 41 and 42.
Incumbent Republican Reps. David Alcos and Diamond Garcia will join their Democratic rivals John Clark and Anthony Paris Friday at consecutive pop-up newsrooms in Ewa Beach. They’ll answer questions and discuss issues that are important to the Ewa Beach-Kapolei area as well as the state.
Alcos and Clark, who are competing for the District 41 seat that covers Ewa Villages, Ewa Beach, Ewa Gentry, Ocean Pointe and West Loch, will start the event at 5 p.m.
They will be followed by Garcia and Paris, who are seeking to represent District 42, which includes Kapolei and Makakilo. That’s scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
Both Republican representatives are looking to hold onto their posts after unseating Democrats in 2022. You can read up on three of the candidates in their Civil Beat Q&As: here’s one for Garcia, for Clark and for Paris. Alcos did not submit one this year.
Civil Beat reporter Blaze Lovell will moderate the discussions, but audience members also will have the opportunity to ask questions and mingle. Pupus and beverages will be available.
The forum will be held at the KROC Center, 91-3257 Kualaka’i Parkway, Ewa Beach.
