The nine-member Honolulu City Council is expected to vote on new leadership Wednesday.
Under a resolution introduced Friday by Interim Chair Ann Kobayashi, Councilman Ikaika Anderson will become the new council chair.
Kobayashi will be vice chair and Councilwoman Carol Fukunaga will be floor leader.

Tommy Waters is expected to be sworn in as the newest council member next week, replacing Mike Formby, who has served on an interim basis since January.
Former Councilman Trevor Ozawa was scheduled to be named chair in January, but a court challenge led to an election rematch between Ozawa and Waters for the District IV seat.
Waters won that race April 13.
