The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday released the identity of the final set of remains that resulted as of the incident last month in the Diamond Head area.

The set of remains is that of Jerry J. Hanel, 69.
The examiner was able to confirm the remains after notification of Hanel’s next of kin.
Hanel is alleged to have shot and killed two Honolulu Police Department officers.
He is also suspected of setting a fire that destroyed several area homes and killing Lois Ann Cain, 77, Hanel’s landlord.
Cain’s remains were identified last month.
