The campus will welcome students in two doctoral programs beginning in August 2024.

Hawaii Pacific University announced Tuesday that it is expanding beyond the Hawaiian Islands for the first time in its history.

HPU, a private nonprofit established on Oahu in 1965, plans to have students enrolled in a Las Vegas campus for fall semester next year.

The university said in a press release that it received Nevada state licensure for doctor of occupational therapy and doctor of physical therapy programs in August.

Both programs, according to HPU, can be completed in 24 months and “delivered in a hybrid format that allows students to live anywhere in the country” and attend lab immersions at the HPU Las Vegas campus.

The campus is located in Southwestern Las Vegas, not far from Harry Reid International Airport.
