Civil Beat’s extensive legislative coverage will be accompanied by a series of events to further engage and inform our readers about the 2022 session at the Capitol. We are focused on broadening our reach across all the islands and increasing the transparency and understanding of the legislative process and progress of bills that affect the people of Hawaii.
The legislative series will launch with a Civil Cafe Legislative Preview + Pau Hana. At this event, Civil Beat’s legislative reporting team and invited lawmakers will discuss what expectations they have for the 2022 session. To increase islandwide accessibility, the in-person panel discussion will also be available online via live-stream. Following this event will be a Civil Cafe Legislative Update in March and Civil Cafe Legislative Wrap-Up in May.
To deepen the conversation and expand our islandwide coverage, Civil Beat will be hosting island-focused discussions for Maui, Kauai and Hawaii island.
If you have questions for our Civil Cafe panelists, submit them here or email membership@civilbeat.org.
