Ali Mushtaq

Ali Mushtaq is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Hawaiʻi West Oʻahu, where he teaches courses on health, medicine, and society. His research focuses on health inequities, clinician burnout, and the role of spirituality in resilience. Before joining UH West Oʻahu, he taught sociology for more than 13 years in California. His work bridges research and community engagement, with projects on culturally competent care, social determinants of health, and data-driven approaches to social science.
