Alyssa Francesca Salcedo is an Ideas intern for Civil Beat. She is a senior at the University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa where she is a journalism major, minoring in political science. She previously interned for the Hawaiʻi Department of Education and Hawaiʻi Public Radio. 

In her free time, she writes poems or listens to the newest K-pop tracks.
