Kauai Reports First COVID-19 Case In Nearly 10 Weeks
An adult male resident received a positive test result for COVID-19 on Thursday, according to Kauai health officials.

A Kauai resident tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the island’s total number of coronavirus infections to 22.
This is the first new confirmed infection on Kauai since April 12.
The Kauai District Health Office said the resident who tested positive is an adult male.
The Hawaii Health Department is investigating the case and conducting contact tracing. The source of the infection is not yet known.
The patient will be in isolation for the duration of the illness and all of his close contacts will self-quarantine, Kauai health officials said in a press release.
