Police are searching for a 22-year-old Lawai man who is suspected of killing his father on the Garden Isle on Thursday.

Police said Delwood Kalei Gardner, 52, of Kahili Mountain died following a domestic dispute on Kuilei Street in Kalaheo, a town of about 5,000 people on the island’s west side. Police say the victim’s son Kody Kalei Gardner is at large and could be dangerous.
A white 2017 GMC pickup truck with license plate 210TWJ that police say the suspect may have been driving was located at the Waimea Canyon Lookout in Kokee State Park. Police are on the scene as they continue to search for the suspect, who is believed to be in the Kokee area.
The Kauai Police Department has advised the public not to approach the suspect. Anyone with information about Gardener or his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
