Members of our team will be at the public library Tuesday.

We are headed to Maui!

Reporters, an editor and members of our operations team will be at the public library Tuesday in Makawao from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as part of our ongoing Pop-Up Newsroom series.

We hope to hear from community members about the issues that matter to you. We’re also available to answer any questions you may have about Civil Beat or our approach to journalism.

Reporters Allan Kew, Ben Angarone and Paula Dobbyn, editor Nathan Eagle, Ben Nishimoto, vice president of operations and philanthropy, and Mariko Chang, director of philanthropy, will all be attending.

In partnership with the Hawaii Public Library System, Civil Beat has been holding these informal pop-up events since October throughout the state. Come chat for a few minutes, linger for a few hours, whatever works.

In the meantime, you can check out our Pop-Up Newsroom landing page to see videos of what people in the communities we’ve visited have to say about their hometown.
