More than 200 people crowded into a school auditorium on May 17 for a discussion about the future of Kailua and its transformation into one of Oahu’s tourist hotspots.
Civil Beat organized the panel as part of its Civil Cafe series, which explore some of the more pressing issues facing Hawaii. It was moderated by Stewart Yerton, Civil Beat’s senior business reporter and lead reporter on the ongoing series, “Tourism’s Tipping Point.”
