A Kuliouou resident shared video of flash flooding on Kalanianaole Highway after strong thunderstorms crossed over Oahu Friday evening.

His truck got stuck on the highway between Niu Valley and Kuliouou around 8:30 p.m. Friday.

You can see multiple vehicles left stranded due to the flooding. Andrew Pangan says he had about 4 to 5 inches of water in his truck during the flooding.

Hawaii Department of Transportation crews were working Saturday to clear debris from the highway now that the flooding has receded.

Heavy rain and lightning remain a threat throughout the weekend as a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
