There’s always something interesting going on at Honolulu Hale.
Civil Beat is reporting from the inside.
Due to heightened APEC security at the Fasi Municipal Building and surrounding Civic Center grounds, no camping permits will be issued on Nov. 10 or Nov. 14 at any Satellite City Hall Office or at the Fasi Municipal Building, according to a city press release.
Also, the People’s Open Market at the Fasi building will be closed on Nov. 7 and Nov. 14 due to heightened APEC security.
Unlucky No. 13. That’s pretty spooky.
A different survey, put out by real estate website Zillow.com, has Honolulu as the third-best city for candy-hunting. That index includes median home value, walkability, population density and crime.
Read more about that over at Honolulu Magazine.
For the first time since its three public hearings across the island — the first of which had zero attendees — the Honolulu City Council Reapportionment Commission was originally scheduled to gather tonight to talk about its plan for the nine Council districts.
That meeting has been cancelled, according to the city’s election website.
Instead, the next meeting will be held at 4 p.m. on Nov. 10 at Honolulu Hale.
From a story elsewhere on Civil Beat this morning:
Mayor Peter Carlisle dedicated two bus stations yesterday, and rode a city bus from one event to the other. Inside Honolulu was the only reporter on that bus, and shares tales from the events and the ride between them.

The results are in, and Honoluluans are happy APEC is coming.
